I took up the bagpipes after retiring and have played with Canberra City Pipes and Drums/Australian Federal Police Pipes and Drums in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Basel Tattoo, the Moscow Tattoo, the Adelaide Police Tattoos a special trip to Norfolk Island and numerous country town and local fetes and other celebrations. Since 2013, I have been playing with the City of “Queanbeyan Pipes and Drums. I studied fiddle (classical) from the age of seven but now play mainly Celtic folk and dance music and have played at many ceilidhs and a nursing homes, schools and family parties. My musical tastes cover a wide range of genres and instruments and both my programs reflect this. I have a large collection of CD’s and “vinyls” but I use my iPad to present my programs.
