NHW WEEK 3-9 OCTOBER

To help celebrate NHW week, Gordon Neighbourhood Watch will host a promotional stall with promotional material, application forms and balloons etc., at Lanyon Market Place on Saturday 8 October from 0900 hours till 1330 hours.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH WEEK 3 – 9 OCTOBER 2016

2016 marks the inaugural celebration of Neighbourhood Watch Week. Neighbourhood Watch Week will take place from Monday 3rd October to Sunday 9th October 2016.

The week aims to reinvigorate Neighbourhood Watch by raising public awareness of local Neighbourhood Watch programs and the benefits of belonging to a local Neighbourhood Watch group. The aim is to increase membership of and encourage participation in Neighbourhood Watch programs throughout Australia.

There will be three key messages throughout NHW Week

• Become Part of Neighbourhood Watch

• Feel more connected in your neighbourhood

• You can prevent crime in your neighbourhood

We would like to encourage you to think about what you could do during NHW Week in your community. Do you have some new residents in your street who may like to join? Perhaps a little information table at your local shops with good home safety information?
